Today is the official first day at the Traditional Dream Factory with our new Fall Stewards Bea - Ale - Josh - Juliana. Super happy to hand over and welcome the new creative energy in the house. But that’s not only it. There’s been a bunch of other changes, learnings, and agreements that came out of the fall team retreat, the second team retreat ever at TDF!

So let’s go ahead on a journey and recap!

DAY 0

We gathered at the ball pit for a casual opening circle and expressed how we all wanted to feel at the end of the weekend. The most common wishes were to be clear, excited, and energized.

Our co-founding sheep Ani also announced that she would take a step back from the leadersheep position so she can focus on herself and her wellbeing while making space for a focused co-creative flow and decentralization within TDF. We can find her in the community & legal circles and she will stay available for the team when needed, as a high-context person.

DAY 1

Part 1: Vision

We focused on going deeper into the vision of TDF and what it means in the context of the existing project at the current time. The main questions brought in by Cedric were:

How do we embody a regen lifestyle @ TDF (and disseminate it to new members)?

What transformative influence do we want to create and who or what are we trying to transform?

Part 2: Spotlight on members’ needs.

This is what came out of the workshop led by Jip.

Organizational needs at TDF:

  1. Map of roles on site. List the people with their profiles, domains of responsibility, and times when they can be contacted
  2. Work / creative flows during the stewardship & moonly. Create calls to action and bring the right people at the right time in the right place
  3. Enrolling co-stewards - long-term members & volunteers that can second stewards in executing tasks on the ground.

Emotional & wellbeing:

  1. Rest. Create a habit of checking on your fellow sheeps workload. Silent hours. Two days weekend. Exceptional rest between the projects.
  2. Rhythms of newcomers. Create safety by preselecting visitors that have already been onboarded by the community curator or steward. Ex: arrival days should be around the new moon etc.
