Important recurring tasks:

• Garden

  • ❗️The valve at the bore hole is closed as of 30 Nov 2023. Reopen if the rain stops for 3 full days or more

    

  • Remove weeds from the garden beds, especially in blocks C and D to ensure healthy growth of the newly planted vegetables.

  • Turn over compost heap every 2 weeks. Keep covered with tarp after turning.

• Nursery
  • ❗️water trees and plants in nursery EVERY 3 DAYS (if rain, don’t water)

Additional and optional winter tasks, in order of importance

• Swale

  • Install pipes under walkways and road areas that cross the swale (4 locations along the swale). Not doing so will result in flooding through roads and pathways.

  • Block off this pathway that goes through the center of the valley. Use the path to the right instead. Open this up for the water to flow.

    

  • Bury a pipe, (35-40cm diameter) east → west along the the inside of the main TDF gate between the drainage channel to the swimming pond area. About 18m distance.

    

    The pipe should be 35-40cm diameter, similar to the one currently taking the water into the road at the red X.

• Electrical

  • Protect the cord from the laundry room to the well by threading it through a water tube or at least it with tiles when it crosses the pathways.

    

• Workshop

  • Move laundry shelf against east workshop entrance wall. In its current placement the clean laundry gets dirty and blocks access to supplies
