This is a handy guide to setting up projects each cycle so that we can track value being added to TDF
Every cycle, each circle is assisted to add two or three projects that they will focus on in the coming months.
These projects should be achievable within that period. This is important because we want to have mini-celebrations each month as we make big jumps in progress.
If you get your cycle projects done then you could add another project to your roadmap midway through (hello there high-achiever 😍).
The process we’re using to do this is…the DREAMSTATE (state…ate…ate) 🪄
Meet in your circle and discuss the long list of projects that need to be achieved and that are usually set at the retreats.
Each project can have a number of tasks under it that, when completed, contribute to that project being considered finished.
Tasks are one-off or recurrent activities with a resolvable start and end plus someone marked as accountable for making sure it gets done. ✅
You can follow the proposal route diagram in Miro for deciding whether a proposal should come through this process (Stages 0-2 in the diagram)
Each project card should contain the following details:
Tokens are currently valued at 0.5 tokens per day so enter into your days in the ‘Days est.’ box and it will do the rest for you. The coordination circle will adjust these later as we negotiate the budget for the cycle.

There are three states that we use for getting to the point of locking in your projects for the coming cycle.

You know that this project is going to be one of the projects you choose for the cycle but you’re still working on the details and maybe have more questions or poeple to consult
2️⃣ Dream Ready
Lucid
You’ve finished providing the details and now you’re ready for it to be submitted in the next batch of proposed projects.
3️⃣ Approved
Lets get to it
It’s been approved by the membership!
Now pull up those sleeves and roll your socks up…time to make it happen.
